Covering yarn is a new structure of yarn, it based on a filament or short fiber as the yarn core, outsourcing another filament or short fiber yarn. The outer packing yarn coats the core yarn in a spiral manner. Its characteristics are dry uniform, puffed and plump, smooth yarn and less wool, high strength, less broken end.
Covering yarn is mostly used for knitting objects requiring high elasticity, and partly for woven fabrics. It is the ideal yarn for high-grade fine wool, hemp fabric, jacquard double-layered latitude knitting fabric and woven fabric. Covered yarn can be woven for coarse and thin yarn, among which is elastic yarn, suitable for weaving sports tights, such as swimsuit, ski clothes, women's underwear, etc.
